DR. POPOOLA HIDIAT SIMBO

Dr. Popoola Hidiat Simbo is an entrepreneur, coach, author, and speaker who is passionate about healthy living, mental wellness, and empowering others. She currently works at Intelligence Era Group of Companies in Dakar, Senegal, where she focuses on corporate affairs and helping people develop their skills. 

She has 18 years of experience in project management. She has received training from experts like Les Brown and John C. Maxwell to become a motivational speaker and leadership coach. Through her company, Excellent Leadership Impact Consulting, she has been able to inspire and empower a lot of young people around the world.

One of her biggest projects is Shero Impact, where she works to support women in leadership roles. Dr. Popoola believes that with the right education and opportunities, women can achieve anything they set their minds to. Her goal is to inspire 3,000 women by 2025. As a John C. Maxwell-trained Leadership Coach and Trainer, she is dedicated to empowerment and philanthropy.

Additionally, she founded and serves as the principal of Shero Impact; a social enterprise focused on addressing the women leadership gap. Shero Impact works to build confidence and capabilities in women, empowering them to break through the glass ceiling and achieve executive-level positions.

She also gives back to the community through projects like rehabilitating people with disabilities and donating clothing to those in need. She is also passionate about providing period products to schools in Ekiti State to support young girls.

Here are some of her key projects:

  • Rehabilitation of Individuals with Disabilities: This project focuses on providing comprehensive support and resources to individuals with disabilities, aiming to enhance their quality of life and integrate them into society. She offers various rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, vocational training, and psychological support, to help them achieve greater independence and self-sufficiency. 
  • Donation of Clothing to “Le Nid” in Senegal (2023): In 2023, She spearheaded a major initiative to donate clothing to “Le Nid,” a shelter in Senegal that provides care and support for vulnerable individuals, including orphans and the homeless. This project involved collecting and distributing high-quality clothing, ensuring that recipients have access to the essentials they need to live with dignity and comfort. 
  • PadHER2Fly: This annual project is dedicated to addressing period poverty by distributing menstrual products to secondary school students. By providing these essential items, She aims to ensure that no girl misses school due to lack of access to sanitary products. This initiative not only supports their health and well-being but also promotes gender equality in education. 5,000 menstrual pads have already been distributed in 5 secondary schools in Ekiti State, Nigeria  and Menstrual management training was offered to more than 6,000 people.
  • Free Leadership Training and Mentorship: She offers both on-site and online leadership training and mentorship programs designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective leaders. These programs are accessible to a wide audience, providing valuable insights into leadership principles, personal development, and professional growth. Through mentorship, participants receive personalized guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals. 
  • Project “Preserving African Legacy” (PAL): This project is dedicated to preserving and promoting African cultural heritage. Through a series of initiatives, including educational programs, cultural events, and heritage conservation efforts, She strives to protect and celebrate the rich traditions and history of Africa. PAL aims to instill pride in African heritage and ensure that future generations remain connected to their cultural roots.
